Josh Lambo’s athletic journey is a testament to adaptability, resilience, and the power of cross-sport skills. Starting as a standout soccer player, Lambo rose through the U.S. youth national team system and played at Texas A&M as a top goalkeeper. His years on the pitch developed his technical precision, mental toughness, and competitive edge.
After stepping away from soccer, Lambo made an unconventional leap into American football, with zero prior experience. Through relentless training and focus, he quickly earned a spot in the NFL, beginning with the San Diego Chargers. His soccer background gave him an edge as a kicker, with elite footwork, balance, and timing that translated seamlessly to football.
Throughout his NFL career, Lambo became known for his consistency and finished with one of the highest field goal percentages in league history. Now, Lambo is partnering with Bridge Kickers to help train and mentor European soccer players transitioning into American football using his story to inspire and guide the next generation.
